Run Softly Demerara by Zahra Freeth Hardback, 1960, first edition, illustrated, published by George Allen & Unwin Ltd, London, 220 pp + 4-page publisher catalogue at rear. Octavo/8vo, measures around 5 1/4" by 8 3/4" by 7/8". No dust jacket. Black cloth binding, pale green lettering to spine. A little marking and scuffing to binding but quite clean. Signs of wear, minor rubbing at edges and on hinges. Slightly bumped corners. Binding reasonably firm. Page edges browned, scuffed and otherwise marked. Some marking to endpapers, gift inscription on front free endpaper.
