A numbered limited edition describing and illustrating a set of Rubens engravings printed by hand from the original copperplates preserved at Stonyhurst College; this handsom book accompanied a boxed set of the engravings, which have all sold out. The remaining copies of the book on its own have now been reduced to £18. Quarter bound in leather and linen, it illustrates all 20 of the engravings in the boxed set, and is introduced and accompanied by prayers and reflections written by Fr Billy Hewett SJ. The Autobiography of St Ignatius is printed in full. Jan Graffius, curator at Stonyhurst, and Christopher Bacon, printer of the copperplates, add art historical and technical essays.

About the Author

Jan Graffius has been the curator at Stonyhurst College for over ten years, looking after collections that date from the College's foundation at St Omer in 1593. These reflect the rich history of Catholic recusancy, Jesuit education, the missions abroad and contributions from Stonyhurst alumni such as the Charles Waterton Natural History collection. Fr Billy Hewett SJ has studied the life and teachings of Ignatius Loyola for many years, bringing the inspiration of the Spiritual Exercises to a wider audience by many publishing means.
