This VG quality first edition book was published in 1924 by Grosset & Dunlap. It is 7-5/8" tall and has 208 numbered pages of text followed by 5 unnumbered pages of ads. This book is square, reasonably clean, free of corner bumps and edge dings though the lower front corner has tad bit of wear; head and heel of the spine are lightly bumped with no fabric damage; the bottom edges have only a slight amount of wear. The front panel and spine are quite clean and not faded; the spine has a vertical crease. Except for a penciled name printed on the FFEP, the interior is completely free of writing, stray marks and page damage of any type; several pages have small stains in the margins; and about 8 pages between 124-139 have a printing error wherein the print has bled through from the previous page (see photo), leaving a reverse image of that previous page. The hinges are strong and not damaged. The frontis + 3 are present and not damaged. The paper is quite flexible and has no toning. The list in the back of the book lists through this title. The VG- quality jacket is heavily toned with chips at both front corners, the top rear corner, and at the head and heel of the spine. There is light wear along both gutter ridges and heavier wear along the front fold. The jacket is clean and has very little toning.
