First edition, first impression. Some edge wear chipping and short closed tears to top and bottom of jacket and spine, corners rubbed with small loss, very slight lean, spine very slightly browned, some slight spotting to page fore edges. Not price clipped (no published price), no inscriptions, internally clean and tight, overall a vg+ copy for its age. 355pp. A lightly fictionalised account of the life of Cecily Neville (1415-95), granddaugher of John of Gaunt and Katherine Swynford, mother to Edward IV and Richard III, known as the 'Rose of Raby' because she was born at Raby Cast;le, near Durham. Major Thomas Guy Frederick Paget (1886-1952), was a British soldier, historian and Conservative MP for Bosworth (the site of Richard III's last battle) from 1922-23.
