First Edition. Initials edition in Blue cloth boards with title of gold lettering in a central circle and the author's initials "JV" in gold book pages in top circle. Single grand in-8. In french, all edges gilt, blue-grey end pages, back cover Magnier type {c2}. Tissue guarded frontispiece and 45 illustrations by Benett. 8-page catalog "DF" of 1886 at rear. Jauzac page 113; Bottin page 476. Paris: Biblioth�que d'�ducation et de r�cr�ation; J. Hetzel et cie. (1886), 221 pages. A VG copy darkened spine gilt, slight forward lean, soil stain on back cover, Foxing, cracked rear hinge, a piece out of bottom of final catalog page. I have previously listed complete sets of UK and US Verne first editions. Now I am starting on a collection of 400 1st editions in French. This is an ongoing project, so please contact me for any you do not see listed yet. This has already resulted in sales to Italy, Switzerland, Hong Kong and the US.
