Rip Foster Rides the Gray Planet is a young adult science fiction novel written by Harold L. Goodwin under the pseudonym Blake Savage. The novel was originally published by Whitman in hardcover in 1952 and reprinted in the United Kingdom later in the same year as "Rip Foster Rides the Grey Planet". Freshly graduated and commissioned Planeteer (the space-going equivalent of a Marine) Lt. Richard Ingalls Peter ("Rip") Foster, already contending with inter-service rivalry with the Space Force (equivalent to Navy) crewmen with whom he serves, is tasked with retrieving an asteroid made of pure thorium from the asteroid belt and bringing it to Earth for use as fissionable material. In this he is opposed by agents of the "Consolidation of Peoples Governments", who also seek control and use of the asteroid. 183 pages. Size: 5" x 7" (130mm x 190mm). (1.2).

Shipping terms
Fast Insured Shipping (first book): UK £7.99
ALL DESTINATIONS: £1.00 for each additional book (additional books delivered free in UK).
All our books are carefully packed. Because most of our books are higher value and tend to be heavier (especially when packed) we usually use Priority international shipping by air courier which is insured at our risk; Standard shipping (where offered) is not insured and is sent at your risk!
Our UK rates include all shipping up to 20kg so shipping on additional books is usually free in the UK mainland. ABE shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. We offer a fair degree of leeway but many of our books are substantially larger and heavier than the norm. If your book order is significantly heavier or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required.
