GEN Andrews as a LTC commanded the First Maryland Artillery of the Confederate States of America in the Civil War. The general completed a portion of the worn on the Marylanders in the Confederate Army. GEN Johnson before he died, added some after GEN Andrews died and the author wove these fragments along with the Scharf's History of Maryland to create this book to preserve for his family and descendants a record of some of the events in the life an American Soldier.
