About this Item
This VG- quality and possible first edition book was published in 1928 by the Grosset & Dunlap and is 7-5/8" tall with 212 numbered pages of text followed by 6 unnumbered pages of ads. This book--one-piece olive green binding with black lettering highlighted with orange--has a slight lean, is rather clean, free of corner bumps and edge dings; the head and heel of the spine are very lightly bumped, with no damage; the bottom edges have a virtually no wear. The spine is faded (see photo) and the top edge of the rear board has the color bleached out of it. Except for a penciled name on the FFEP, the interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and page damage of any type. Both hinges are strong and undamaged. The text paper is very slightly and uniformly toned, and very flexible. The only illustration in this book is the frontis. The only list in the book for this series, on the title page, lists the first two titles in this series, both published in 1928 also; but lists at the rear of the book have the 1929 titles of the Roy Blakeley and Ted Scott series books. The book has no remainder mark and is not a former library book. The G+ quality jacket is moderately faded as well as rather heavily soiled, with small chips at both top corners, large chips at the bottom front corner and at the head of the spine, and with tiny chips at the heel of the spine.
