Hardcover. Condition: new. Fine Condition. No dust jacket. 223 pages including photos and illustrations. This book recounts the return of the ospreys and other birds to their habitats in the Scottish Highlands, after being nearly driven out by extensive hunting. It is a notable work of nature writing that chronicles the efforts to re-establish osprey population in the Scottish Highlands. The species, along with others like the avocet and black-tailed godwit, had been hunted to near extinction.
