144pp, pictorial paper wrappers with blue banner and spine, titles in white on spine and front cover. Large black and white photo on front cover, array of four small black and white photos on back cover. Binding is secure, and spine is straight. Mylar wrapper over cover. Text describing book inside cover, signed on title page/front free endpaper by Irwin Shaw. Water damage from top inside of both front and back hinges to about halfway down. Bleeds onto page about 1" at widest part of stain. Contents of book are otherwise clean, and the stain doesn't show on photos or text block inside the volume. Both Shaw and Capa had made their names from WW2 - Shaw with his novel The Young Lions and Capa as a war photographer/photojournalist. This book sees them checking in on the newly-formed nation of Israel, with Capa's photos and Shaw's prose forming an insightful early image of the nation.
