Pamphlet, 8vo, removed, disbound, 48 pp. Disbound and title page detached, chips and tears to title, but not affecting text, minor creasing and folds, some soiling, aging and browning. Abiel Abbot (1765-1859) was born in Wilton, New Hampshire, and after graduating from Harvard in 1787 he became a minister. In 1795 he became the minister of church in Coventry, Connecticut, but was dismissed in 1811 because of some of his religious views.
