First Edition. A 40 page booklet and audio cassette of Ernest Hemingway speaking. This booklet was written to accompany this release on cassette of a recording Ernest Hemingway made in Havana in 1947. One the record Hemingway makes a series of brief comments about recent history, mentions how the recording was made, and rereads his haunting 1939 Spanish Civil War eulogy, On the American Dead In Spain. The recording was made to be played at a New York dinner on February 12th. The dinner commemorated the tenth anniversary of the Lincoln BattalionÕs February 1937 baptism by fire in the Spanish Civil War. Fine condition.
