8vo, 40pp, 5pp photographic illustrations. Faint early owner signature at front paste down, Franklin Beach. Original dark brown gilt buckram. Separately published work by the rector of St. Mary's Church in the Highlands, Cold Spring, NY., who served in that role from 1895 to 1946, recorded in the 28th Annual Report of the American Scenic and Historic Preservation Society to the Legislature of the State of New York. Includes a chapter on the Albany Post Road with content on the mile stones of Putnam County and the search for the surviving ones by the Putnam County Historical Society. OCLC: 1480703.
