Item description from seller

Red Smith has always been one of my favorite baseball writers. Here you have 347 pages and 167 of Red's most memorable baseball columns from 1941 to 1981. covers Jackie Robinson's debut, Hank Greenberg's home runs, Floyd Bevens losing a World Series no-hitter, and his classic ending line to Bobby Thompson's Home Run-Heard Around the World. Red wrote about all sports but baseball seemed to be his favorite. Both the non price clipped Dust Jacket and the First Edition book are in very good condition. I have more than 170 books written by and about Sportswriters and over 2,400 Baseball Publications in stock. Discounts available when you purchase multiple items on the same order.
