This book is in fair condition, mainly as a result of some water damage to the side edges of each page, however the pages open freely and as can be seen from the photographs it is a fairly narrow area of water damage which does not reach across to the text, Also the spine is a little weak, I handle this book with care. Lastly it has a faint mark on the front free endpaper where a small sticker has been removed. On the plus side, this is a first edition and first printing of this important regional shell guide to the Red Sea, and while it has some defects the asking price has been lowered in relation to these, and it remains a very usable copy of an increasingly hard to find book.

Store description
I will begin by saying that mine is neither a conventional bookstore nor a conventional business. I have been a great reader and learner all my long life and have acquired a substantial number of books, which I began to sell off in a small way when I moved to a flat about ten years ago - and now that I am even older I am having to move once again in the next year or so, this time into an even smaller flat in a retirement community. In short, my Abe membership is a consequence of too little space and way too many books... My collection is fairly eclectic and mostly derives from my various hobbies, notably malacology and crafting. However there are a few more general items as well, some already owned by me, but also for the last five years or so I have enjoyed scouting around in charity shops testing my ability to acquire interesting oddities that I think might sell well. I like to be meticulous in what I do, and with regard to the books that I have for sale you may be sure that they will be packaged and sent to you with care, should you decide to purchase an item. Please enjoy my inventory!…
