This book is a classic must-have book for the record collector, and anyone who wants to read a fascinating history of the making of the earliest records. Whiteman was an insider in the business, so what he offers is lots of interesting stories that go beyond way beyond the factual history, although he offers plenty of that as well. There are lists of thousands of records included in this book, all classified for easy reference. The lists have been carefully selected to make more simple the collecting of a home record library.
