Review
The material, which is a reproduction of all available manuscripts, has been carefully edited with informative introductions and useful supplementary information. The evidence they provide would be valuable to any historian of Man, but also has much to offer to the general ecclesiastical and social historian. [...] These volumes provide a fascinating insight into the development of a clerical legislative body over nearly eight hundred years. ARCHIVES
