Basketball: " Both tilts were lost when Glendale played Jackie Robinson's Pasadena Bulldogs, the first, 45-37, and the second, 43-34." Robinson was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal in October 2003, the second major leagyue baseball player to earn the medal, after Roberto Clemente in 1973. Unusual small-format annual.
