** VERY RARE ** 1ST EDITION, 1895 ** ORIGINAL BOOK - NOT PRINT ON DEMAND ** STURDY CLOTH-BOUND HARDCOVER ** NO DUSTJACKET ** FORMER LIBRARY BOOK, OTHERWISE VERY GOOD CONDITION ** CLEAN AND STAIN-FREE ** TEXT UNMARKED ** SOUND AND SOLID ** COMPLETE AND INTACT ** Published in Westminster, England, by The Roxburghe Press, 1st Edition, 1895, with 117 pages, 12mo (book is 7 inches tall). NOTE: EX-LIBRARY BOOK, please expect library markings and indicia. Contains the text of an address Vaughan delivered under the auspices of the Catholic Truth Society, at Preston, in 1894, and a second address delivered in the Colston Hall, Bristol, on September 9, 1895. Also contains an Appendix reproducing a letter, 4.5 pages long, written by Vaughan to the Times from "Archbishop's House", Westminster, "On the Validity of Anglican Orders", dated October 2, 1895. Aside from the ex-library markings, the book has no significant flaws, does show brief, quite minor, very occasional signs of use/wear (wear and a touch of fraying to cloth at top of spine, slight wear to cloth at the corner tips, pages lightly age-toned). The book is quite clean and stain-free, square and straight, still very firm and tight in its binding, no pages are loose, missing, or torn. All hinges are sound and undamaged, the corners have not been bumped. All pages are clean and stain-free, and all text is sharp and legible. There is no writing, underlining, highlighting, or other such markings in the text. A nicely preserved copy of this scarce, important book.
