AGATHA CHRISTIE - AND THEN THERE WERE NONE (published in the UK under the politically incorrect title "Ten Little N.", published by Grosset & Dunlap, copyright 1939, Photoplay edition copyright 1945, First Printing (no references to subsequent printings on copyright page - there was only ever 1 printing of this edition), movie still illustrated endpapers with additional B&W photos from the 1945 movie throughout the book (Grosset & Dunlap Photoplay edition), dark blue cloth boards with gold gilt lettering to spine and front panel. Book has no creased page corners from prior reading, no former ownership markings or used bookstore stamps inside, no foxing to pages or endpapers or outer page edges, slight age darkening/dust soiling to outer page edges, no wear to board edges or to board corners, barest hint of wear to spine tip corners, no spine sun fading, no rubbing to spine lettering or to gilt design to front board (common defect with this book), no dust/handlin+g soiling to boards & spine, no bumped board corners. Book also comes with a color facsimile of the Grosset & Dunlap Dust jacket to provide protection from damage and to improve its appearance on a shelf. Overall a FINE- book of rare WWII era Agatha Christie 1st printing book. I have a number of other U.K. and U.S. Agatha Christie 1st printing hardcover books up for sale. Dust jacket has no chipping, tearing, or creasing, just a hint of wear to spine tips, almost no wear to front flap crease, no spine sun darkening/fading, no dust soiling to white rear panel, no soiling or staining to panels, no color rubbing, nick along top edge on front panel otherwise no edge wear. THIS IS A NOTORIOUSLY FRAGILE DUST JACKET - I HAVE PROBABLY HANDLED 2O+ COPIES OF THIS BOOK IN ORIGINAL DUST JACKET OVER THE LAST 30 YEARS AND THIS IS EASILY ONE OF THE NICEST COPIES I HAVE HAD FOR SALE.
