The story of the Ilwaco Railroad & Navigation Company, the IR&NC, the Clamshell Railroad, dubbed the "Irregular, Rambling & Never-get-there" by a local journalist, which traversed the Long Beach Peninsula of Washington state for years. Several of its rail cars and depots dot the peninsula to this day. Condition notes: 146 numbered pp; HB w/DJ. Pages: clean, bright, tight, photo eps, color frontis; a.e. lt tanned, a year and location neatly inked to ffep. Cover: gray boards, blue titles front/spine; no shelfwear. DJ: unclipped in Brodart, blue, color artwork and blue titles front, white titles spine, ads back; a bit of wear head/tail, spine mildly rubbed, v lt soil to back. A very nice copy indeed.
