Add to basketRADIO IN ADVERTISING BY ORRIN E. DUNLAP JR. HARPER & BROS 1931 1ST EDITION. Here is another of the many vintage books currently listed about radio technology and operations. This one, quite a scarce item in the book trade, is titled: Radio in Advertising, by Orrin E. Dunlap, Jr. who at the time was the Radio Editor of the New York Times. The book opens with a Foreword by David Sarnoff, then President of the Radio Corporation of America. This medium-sized hard cover book (5 ¾ x 8 ¾ inches, 383 pages) was published by Harper & Brothers of New York, dated 1931 and the First Edition (so stated). The book is bound in finely ribbed maroon cloth with gilt titles on cover and spine. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The hard covers are clean and bright, front and rear with bright gilt titles on the cover. The gilt titles on the spine are faded or tarnished and hard to read and the spine itself seems darkened. Inside, a former owner has left his inked name on the front endpaper but that is the only mark I found in the book. There is some very light and slight foxing to some of the early pages but not beyond the first page of the text and there is no real age-toning. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
