BOOK CONDITION: good. The text block and illustrations are in fine condition with no tears, marks, or dog ears. There is no bookplate nor signature of previous owner. Not a library book nor remainder. The illustrated wraps are in good condition (edge wear, a few worn spots on the front). 6 ¼ x 6 ¼, 92 pages, 7 ounces XX THE RABBIT BOX is one of the four books making up Pintauro?s THE RAINBOW BOX. The other three books are THE PEACE BOX, A BOX OF SUN, and THE MAGIC BOX. [About the poet] Joe Pintauro was born on November 22, 1930, in Queens, New York. Pintauro attended John Adams High School in Queens, and he studied at Manhattan College, before transferring to St. Jerome's College in Waterloo, Ontario, where he graduated in 1953 with a degree in philosophy and Latin. After attending Our Lady of Angels Seminary at Niagara University, he was ordained a priest in 1958. While working as a priest Pintauro attended Fordham University to work on a master's degree in American Literature. In 1966 Pintauro left the priesthood, finding work as a copy writer and a poet. Pintauro's first published work was To Believe in God, a book of poetry released in 1968. His first novel, Cold Hands, was published in 1979. Pintauro become known as a playwright whose works often covered the AIDS crisis. His first play, Snow Orchid, was staged in 1982 by the Circle Repertory Company. Other plays by Pintauro include Beside Herself (1989), The Dead Boy (1990), Raft of the Medusa (1991), and Men's Lives (1992). Pintauro taught playwriting at Southampton College, he taught fiction writing at Sarah Lawrence College and at New York University Tisch School of the Arts, and he taught filmmaking at Marymount Manhattan College and at the School of Visual Arts. Pintauro and his partner of 40 years, Greg Therriault, married in 2011. Pintauro died in Sag Harbor, New York on May 29, 2018, at the age of 87. [About the artist] Born in Worcester, Massachusetts of French Canadian parents, Norman Laliberté grew up in Montreal, returning to the U.S. to complete his education in Chicago. He first achieved international recognition as the design consultant for the Vatican Pavilion at the New York World?s Fair of 1964. Using the vibrant play of color and light, Laliberté creates cheerful, energetic interpretations on themes of love and frolic, joy and plenty, that are highly symbolic and evocative. His abundant talents have been the subject of over 100 solo shows across America and Canada. His work can be found in over 75 major public and corporate collections, including some of the most prestigious such as the Smithsonian Institute, the Nelson A. Rockefeller Collection, and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. He has also been the author of over twenty books on many aspects of contemporary art. Still active, Laliberté lives and works in Nahant, Massachusetts.

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good or the last lot or piece.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to Whitledge Books, Austin, Texas, U.S.A., without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
