ROYAL COMMISSION ON WHISKEY AND OTHER POTABLE SPIRITS. H.M.S.O., 1908-9, 12½ x 8¼ inches, one volume comprising the MINUTES OF EVIDENCE and APPENDICES, iv + 437 (Volume 1) and (iv) + 275 pages including 2 plates and a folding b/w map (Volume 2); the FINAL REPORT, (iv) + 47 pages; and the INDEX AND DIGESTS OF EVIDENCE, ii + 67 pages; plus a pencil drawing of the second plate (Coffey's Distilling Apparatus) bound in between pages 126 and 127 of volume 2, in a near contemporary sturdy cloth binding lettered in gilt on the spine, the original printed blue wrappers have NOT been retained, the outer edge of the folding plate of Coffey's Distilling Apparatus has been closely trimmed with the loss of one or two letters from the description, slight foxing of the title-page and the next leaf otherwise internally extremely clean, bright, tight and sound, the covers and spine are superficially worn. Collated and complete (some copies also include the 6 page Interim Report, but not this copy).
