Item description from seller

First American edition, first printing. "First published in the United States of America in 1980 by the Walker Publishing Company, Inc." statement and first printing number code sequence 1 through 10 to the copyright page, $8.95 to the jacket's flap. An exceptionally beautiful woman and an aspiring novelist marry, the writer does not have the fame and wealth successes his wife hoped for, and soon she is looking for risk and excitement elsewhere, and finds murder instead. Some age-toning to the inner hinge areas as usual, a few minuscule soil dots to the upper page edges, else tight, square and near fine in black boards with green titles to the spine; in a near fine dust jacket with a hint of age-toning to the spine panel; original printed $8.95 price still intact to the front inner flap. Roderic Jeffries is the son of Bruce Graeme (author of the Blackshirt series).
