Large octavo; publisher's maroon gilt-lettered cloth, grey topstain; xxiv,501pp.; photographic illus. throughout, five stereoviews printed on three leaves loosely inserted as issued in chemise mounted to rear pastedown. Some shelf wear to cloth margins, spine gilt significantly dulled, both hinges cracked with front just holding by mesh backing, textblock unevenly toned due to inferior paper quality. A Good copy overall. Monumental study on the identification of forgeries and forged documents.
