London: The Adventurers Club, 1958, 1st edition. Clean, tight-bound 8vo, 187pp. Dust jacket has small tears across top and bottom edges. Ffe is missing. There is a gift inscription on the half title page with a little Christmas sticker on the top corner. The story of a remarkable expedition into the tropical forests of the Cameroons to collect information about the pygmy tribe, the Babinga. It was done by three French students, all under 21 years old, and who were entirely without previous experience of such a journey. The young men succeeded and lived with the Pygmies as no one had ever done before.
