A Very Good copy of this slim volume in red cloth binding with gilt coverlettering on. Queen Pomare IV written by British Consul and a Missionary of the London Missionary Society Mr George Pritchard who resided in Tahiti during the greater part of the Queen's life. Pritchard concentrates on the time, when French war ships invaded Tahiti. The Queen was intimidated and robbed of her possessions only because "France was one great nation and that France had 60 frigates". Seller Inventory # 28139
