About this Item
A rare example of the inaugural issue of Quagga, an Austin, Texas based literary magazine from the early 1960's. Its droll preface espouses no particularly novel approach or reason for its existence, presuming that its readers would already be among those who "read the other little magazines" and to add an explanation to those already available would be tiresome. This issue with contributions from Roger Shattuck, Felix Stefanile, Barriss Mills, Frederick Eckman, Bokosui Wakayama, and many others. Book in good - condition. 5.25" x 8.25" book, saddle stapled in card wraps. 28pp. Book in good- condition with heavy tanning to spine, with particular dark stains around each staple and errant stains to cover besides. Moderate creasing to pages and covers throughout, but binding is secure and text unmarked on bright reasonably crisp pages. Rare. Seller Inventory # ABE-1693518362550
