1st Edition. 766pp. 12mo. Original calf leather with embossed outlines on front and back. Moroccan labels on spine with gilt title. Leather is scuffed, rubbed, with red staining on back covers. Bumping to all corners, chipping at head and tail of spine. Watermark staining to top and bottom edges of book throughout. Previous stamps on front endpapers. 1 double paged map. Textblock is tight. good to very good This book is a compilation of mining and public land laws for the Northwest Territory, British Columbia, and Alaska at the peak of the Klondike gold rush in early 1898. Stamps belong to "Victoria-Yukon Trading Company, Limited", which dissolved in August 1912. The map is a small-scale reproduction the Canadian Department of Interior's "Official Map of the Yukon River and Its Tributaries" (1897). A great Klondike artifact!
