Item description from seller

Believed to be a revision of It’s Not Easy to Die (1950), written by Stephen Frances allegedly writing as Steve Markham. This is the story of Johnny the Kid’s rise in the Chicago rackets, originally driven by the need for cash to save his father’s life. Quite a bit of surface rubbing to the front cover which has a small closed tear to the bottom left corner. The rear cover is missing. Quarter inch chip out of the surface of the spine which is also a little faded. Small chips to the bottom corners of the last two pages and the pages are browned but they are otherwise clean and unmarked. An extremely rare book.
