Minor edge and corner wear; no dj; lightly scuffed and scratched; corners are gently bumped and rubbed; some light shelf wear; ex-library with the usual library markings; overall a nice used copy! Red boards with silver and black lettering on the spine. 67 historical and informative pages! "Aeschylus's Prometheus Bound is probably the most lyrical of the Greek classical tragedies. It is also the most un-dramatic - one man, a sort of demi-god at that, chained to a rock, orated to, and orating at, a sequence of embodied apparitions. In translation, the poetry seems lofty and dead, and the characters statues. Something living somehow burns through even the worst translation. I took one of the dullest I could find.".
