About this Item
Produced for the first British/Soviet film festival in October 1959. Glassine cover has been designed to form a lip on the edge of the cover causing it to lift slightly and produced a slight 3-D effect. Joint English/Russian text throughout. Forward by the British Ambassador, followed by an introduction by Roger Manvell of 13pp in turn followed by a summary of each film with associated photographs. Films: Richard III; Woman in a Dressing Gown; The Importance Of Being Ernest; Oliver Twist; Genevieve; The Horse's Mouth; Geordie; Journey into Spring; Between The Tides; Thursday's Children; Forming Of Metals; An Experiment In Towns and Skyport. Cover design and illustrations by Paul Sharp: this was his copy. Glassine cover a little scuffed at the corners with small tear to rear corner.
