Winner of 1957 Pulitzer Prize for Biography with the forward by Allan Nevins. First edition, but a later printing. The first printing has the publisher's code M-E on the copyright page, which translates to December 1955, whereas this is a July 1958 printing as indicated by the "G-H" on copyright page. The book and page edges are a little faded and worn, but the pages look good. The original purchaser's name and price paid (4.25 CAD) is listed on the first page as seen in the image. The dust jacket which has the price clipped is a little worn all the way around with a few tears all around.
