Professor Prasanna Mohanty is at the School of Life Sciences at Jawahsarlal Nehru University, New Delhi. This volume is dedicated to Dr. P.V. Sane, Director of the National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to photosynthesis research and a very deep commitment to plant science.
