They smuggle tools into the prison and dig a tunnel that leads to the outside world. On the night of the escape, Carter and the other prisoners drug the prison guards and escape through the tunnel. The police are quickly alerted to the escape, and they launch a massive manhunt. However, Carter and the other prisoners are able to evade capture. They eventually make their way to a safe house, where they plan their next move. The police eventually track Carter and the other prisoners down to the safe house.
