Prayer is for everyone. Janell Moon explores the different kinds of prayer and clearly demonstrates how a life of prayer can change the lives of those who pray and of those around them and shows that prayer is for one and all – religious or not.
In the last few years, there has been a renewal of interest in prayer as a spiritual discipline – by those who do not define themselves as religious. There seems to be a growing recognition by the "non-religious" spiritual seeker of the inherent value and practical benefits of developing a strong and rich prayer life. HOW TO PRAY WITHOUT BEING RELIGIOUS is for those people. It makes prayer palatable for those who feel uncomfortable with formal religious belief; but want to connect with the life of the spirit and sense that prayer is a way of developing a rich spiritual life.
Includes:
- Explains why developing a life of prayer is important,
- Demonstrates the personal and collective benefits to prayer
- Provides specific example of different kinds of prayer.
The benefits of prayer include:
Emotional healing
Getting Guidance
Articulating ones needs and desires
An aid to the imaginative and creative life
Healing society
