Translated by Russian-American editor & publisher Thomas Seltzer, who helped to introduce D.H. Lawrence to the American public. Also known as 'Poor Folk', a Modern Library title from the very first catalogue (May 1917). Very good. Moderate rubbing to crown & foot of spine, with light rubbing to extremities. Binding sound, text unmarked.
