First Edition hardcover in tan cloth covered boards with black titles and accent lines on spine and frt board. Spine shows age spots, bumped ends but tips still sharp. A couple very faint large foxing marks on pastedowns, 244 page text is browned but not brittle. Hinge papers fine, no names, tears or finger marks in the text. No funky smells. Belting color action illustration of two players galloping down the field on their polo ponies on dj frt panel and spine by Corydon Bell. No illustrations within the story. Two repaired 1" chips at foot of frt panel extend 1" up from the lower edge but don't interfere with the action of the game being played over the top of them. Spine of jacket picked up some of the spots that appear on the book backstrip, still displays well on the shelf. No chips on rear panel, small chips at end of rear gutter same size as the one on the head of frt gutter. See images or ask for them. Seller Inventory # R46896
