London: T. Becket and T. Davies, 1760. Octavo (8" x 5.25"); xiii, 44p. Marbled paper-covered boards with red title strip to spine. Dampstain to bottom quarter of the boards with some light discoloration, else boards are clean and square with light edgewear. Dampstain to interior as well affecting half to three-quarters of the pages (see photos). Author's name and publication date in pencil on title page, with old ownership signature at top of first page of Scene 1, else pages unmarked. Binding is sound. First produced play by George Colman the Elder, a farce dealing with the effects of reading novels upon women and other members of polite society.
