First edition. The text is solid, good. The dust jacket has a piece 1/4 x 1, roughly, torn out of frront top edge. 3/4 tear from top of spine. The jacket is very readable, and 90 years old. I worked this out, it was quite expensive in its day, at $4.00. Price is on the flap. It seems the book is rare, and even more rare with a dust jacket. There is also a map of the polar region in the back, in perfect condition.From what I see, this is the best copy available of a very rare book!. Seller Inventory # 000513
