The Polar Record is a fascinating journal which explores the latest development in Arctic and Antarctic research. The first edition. The Polar Record is a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal covering Arctic and Antarctic research.This academic journal started in 1931 and is still active today. It is one of the leading journals of polar research. This journal is managed by the Scott Polar Research Institute but published by the Cambridge University Press. The Scott Polar Research Institute is the centre for research into polar and glaciology. It is based in Cambridge and is the sub-department of the Department of Geography. The editions that we have are from 1963 to 2003. Each edition includes a set of articles, fieldwork, and notes on the latest Arctic and Antarctic research. Polar Record Volume 13, No.86 includes twelve cartographic maps from the U.S.A, U.S.S.R., Norway, Japan and New Zealand, Chile, Britain, Belgium, France, South Africa, and Australia. This relates to the articles on the report on geodetic and cartographic activities research conducted from 1960-1965. Each edition is accompanied by maps, scientific diagrams, and images showing the progress being made in polar research. Polar Record from 2000 to 2003 was edited by Dr. Beau Riffenburgh and Dr. Elizabeth Cruwys. These edition cover the impact of climate change and the extent to which this has changed polar research. Within these seven editions, they explore zoology, glaciology, history, and scientific research. Bound in the original publisher's wraps. Externally very smart.
