A limited edition copy William Austin's poetry, signed by the editor. A limited edition copy of the poems of William Austin, signed by the editor Anne Ridler. Only 150 copies of this volume were printed. The present volume is number 109, and is signed by the author in blue ink. Anne Ridler provides a rigorous introduction to this of poetry by the early seventeenth century barrister. Alongside more overtly religious poems intended for Christmas and good Friday, the collection also includes a funeral dirge in which he deplores the loss of his first wife and several of his children. In a quarter leather binding over hard boards, found in a card board slipcase. Externally, lovely, with some light rubbing to the front joint and the spine. The slipcase is near fine, with just a couple of marks. Internally, firmly bound, with bright and clean pages throughout. Very Good Indeed.
