The author highlights numerous ways of forest management, chiefly intended for the climate of Scotland, which is where he managed his own land at Allanton House in Lanarkshire. With the bookplate of John Moore Paget a landowner and Justice of the Peace. Bound in half calf with marbled paper-covered boards. Externally, sound with rubbing to the leather causing some loss to the extremities and joints. Loss to the center of the backstrip. Rear hinge is strained. Front hinge has failed after frontispiece. Bookplate to front paste down and ink inscription to rear paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright, with light scattered spotting to plates and the odd page. Good Only.
