4to, ix + pp230 with 41 colour plates chiefly from George E. Lodge paintings commissioned for this book and 44 b/w monochrome plates. Hardcover in dust jacket. Clipped DJ in protective sleeve in good only condition with small tears to top & tail of spine with a little loss, crease to front cover near spine and old tape repairs/marks to a couple of places. Publishers red cloth binding with gilt titles to spine and front board in very good condition with sunning to spine and small marks to top right of front board. Inside except for previous owners signature to front free end paper, all pages and plates in excellent near fine condition. A very nice copy penned by the somewhat notorious Meinertzhagen.
