Another deliciously decadent Gorey story about children gone astray, this one featuring little Henry Clump, who finds out at age 3 that "his heart was wicked, but that God loved him nonetheless." An exquisite FIRST EDITION, First Printing (Toledano A23a), from 1966 in book form (published the year before in the Evergreen Review) of another of Gorey's works issued with a an anagrammed pseudonym. Slim, unpaginated 24 mo (3.5" x 5.5") has light purple wrappers with elaborate black design & lettering by Gorey to both covers, stapled binding. Condition is Near Fine: staples are showing a tad of rust & there is fading around all edges of both covers. Else, appears as clean & bright as brand new! Pages white & unmarked save for 3 initials in pen inside back cover. A FIRST EDITION, First Printing, from 1995, this hardcover has cloth-covered boards . Condition is Fine: very clean.binding strong & square, pages creamy white with tanning, but unmarked. The DJ is ; nicely protected in new clear mylar cover free!
