Ex-school library copy (Bramley School, Johannesburg) with consequent debris, residue, stamps, annotations, markings, wear and tear. Board cover, cloth spine. A much used and referred to book. The cover is much worn about the corners and edges. The cloth spine is worn and has library residue but is stoic and sure. The cover has been dismembered and its various faces attached to the front, inside front and inside back covers. Inside, the contents are heroic in their attachment and tenacity. The board cover is in very good condition. There is general shelving wear. The inside front cover and the frontispage have discolouration. A book sized pocket inside the back cover (undamaged) houses a map in very good condition. There is some discolouration to the paper of the inside cover and back page. The dust jacket is quite rubbed and worn, with tearing and creasing along the edges. The boards are strong and sturdy, but are marked with tape residue from the jacket.
