About the Author

Patrick C. Hughes is associate vice provost for undergraduate education and associate professor of communication studies at Texas Tech University, USA. He researches communication problematics from multi-methodological and integrated theoretical approaches. Specifically, his research is oriented toward studying family contexts, intercultural contexts, and interpersonal contexts, such as interactions between married partners and in health contexts.

Juan S. Mu�oz is the senior vice president for Institutional Diversity, Equity, and Community Engagement, vice provost for Undergraduate Education and Student Affairs, and associate professor of curriculum and instruction at Texas Tech University, USA. He has taught courses in classroom management, instructional methods, curriculum development, multi-cultural education, bilingual education, and critical social theory.

Marcus N. Tanner is the program director for Integrative Studies at Texas Tech University, USA. Both his education and life experiences are interdisciplinary. Before working in higher education, he spent 13 years in full-time pastoral ministry. His research interests include the interaction of work and family, work and health concerns, and program assessment. He has published primary research on forced termination of clergy and its effects. He serves as a board member at large for the Association for Interdisciplinary Studies and is the Chair of their National Honor Society (Alpha Iota Sigma).

We make every effort to describe each book or print accurately. However, we accept that an item might not prove to be as you expected it, or has been damaged in transport. We therefore accept returns within 14 days of receipt of the item, upon prior notification. We will provide a full refund upon receipt of the returned item by us.

If you use this option, we will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a cancellation on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.

Effects of cancellation

If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).

We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.

We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel with contract.

We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

Exceptions to the right of cancellation

The right of cancellation does not apply to:

the delivery of newspapers, journals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts; and
