Originally a free copy. This is stated repeadly on the rear wrap / the first 5 internal pages and the front inside wrap. Very light shelf wear to the wraps. This is minimal. A few of the internal pages have light / small patches of wrinkling to the top corners. Else the internal pages are clean. This book would make a very interesting read.

From the Publisher
Each chapter focuses on a problem or issue, and opens with a question, to help students identify the thesis.
The pairing of personalities is cross-cultural, comparative, and biographical.
Each chapter is constructed as a complete essay, so can be assigned in any order.
Personalities are chosen for their interest value to freshmen as well as for their intrinsic importance, and terms new to freshman are defined when introduced.
