In very good condition; slight soiling and faint toning to wraps; several hard scuff marks, with two small tears to front cover; bump and creasing bottom of spine; points of moderate rubbing along edges; two hairline, horizontal tears across midspine; faint toning to clean interior; binding sound. Stated first edition. 103 numbered pages. Approx. 10 x 7 1/4 in. Includes 16-page booklet, The Chinese Opera and Its Origin by C.Y. Lee; Photographs of San Francisco Chinese Opera by Nicole Schoening, 8 3/4 x 5.5 in., tipped in at gutter between pages 100 and 101, possibly from Contact 9 (Sausalito, 1961).
